Refund and Cancellation Policy

What happens to a training fee when a course does not go ahead — whether you change your mind, move to another batch, or we postpone one. Two windows, and they depend on how long the course runs.

01What this covers

This policy applies to training fees paid to Safe Road Training and Testing Center for any course listed on this website, whether the fee is paid by the trainee or by an employer sending a batch.

Two things it does not cover, because we take no payment directly from any candidate for either: the driving-skill test fee, which the applicant pays directly on the Government portal, and the licence fee, which belongs to the licensing authority. Neither is collected by us, so neither is ours to refund.

02Courses longer than fifteen days

At present these are the two licensing courses: Light Motor Vehicle, which runs 29 hours over four weeks, and Medium & Heavy Motor Vehicle, which runs 38 hours over six weeks.

If you withdraw within the first three days of the batch starting, the fee is refunded in full. From the fourth day onward the fee is not refundable, because the seat, the vehicle and the instructor's time have been committed to you for the rest of the course.

03Every other course

Every remaining course on this site runs three days or less — the three-day Rule 9 dangerous goods course, tanker crew safety, defensive driving, fire safety, first aid, and the shorter courses at the accredited centres.

Tell us at least 24 hours before the batch starts and the fee is refunded in full. Inside 24 hours the fee is not refundable: at that point the batch is made up, the trainers are booked and the seat cannot be filled again.

04Moving to a later batch instead

If you would rather keep the seat than take the money back, tell us at least 24 hours before the batch starts and we will move you to a later one at no charge. This can be done once.

A second move is not automatic. Ask, and we will say what is possible — but plan on the first move being the one you get.

05If we postpone or cancel a batch

It is our doing, so it is your choice. You may take a full refund, or a place on the next batch that suits you, whichever you prefer. We will tell you by email and WhatsApp as soon as we know, and ask you which you want.

No cancellation charge applies to a batch we moved.

06How a refund is paid

A refund goes back to the method the payment came from — the same card, the same UPI account, the same bank account. We cannot send it somewhere else, and we will not ask you for bank details by email or telephone.

It is processed within 5 to 7 working days of our agreeing it. How long the money then takes to appear is the bank's to decide, not ours.

07How to ask

Use the form at the bottom of this page, or write to refund@saferoad.in. Either way you are making the same request and we reply by email.

We do not take refund requests over the telephone. That is not to make it harder — it is so that there is a written record of what was asked and when, which protects you as much as us. You are welcome to ring to ask a question about a request you have already sent.

  • —Your name, telephone and email
  • —Which course, and the batch date if you know it
  • —The payment reference — a receipt number, a UPI reference, or the last four digits of the card
  • —Why you are asking

08Where this policy stands

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Nothing here takes away a right you have under the law. Where this policy and a statutory right differ, the statutory right applies.

Ask for a refund

Fill this in and it reaches refund@saferoad.in. You can also write there directly — either way it is the same request, and we reply by email. We do not take refund requests by telephone, so that there is a record of what was asked and when.
